Over the next decade at Cook Children’s Medical Center, he became known for his calm, compassionate care in high-pressure situations. Later, as Medical Director at Children’s Medical Center Plano, he helped shape emergency pediatric services for countless families.
In 2011, Dr. Cowan opened his first pediatric urgent care clinic in La Gran Plaza in Fort Worth—creating a welcoming, culturally responsive space where families could receive expert care without long waits or stress.
During COVID-19, he brought care directly to patients’ homes, testing and treating families across Fort Worth. This hands-on approach led to the creation of his concierge house-call service, a model he continues today.
The experience inspired the launch of FWC+, a state-of-the-art medical facility offering urgent, primary, and wellness care. Building on decades of expertise, Dr. Cowan later expanded his vision with a comprehensive wellness spa focused on longevity, prevention, and quality of life.
Today, Dr. Cowan continues to serve the community with compassion and dedication—helping patients of all ages live healthier, longer, and more vibrant lives.
